Alexander Neumeister: Master of the Shinkansen Nozomi 500
Munich January 10, 2012

The Nozomi 500 is a strange exception of technological development. An evolution in a direction that had no ancestors and no successors. It looks like an exeptional leap forward for a highspeed bullet-train concept that has set a futuristic landmark, that has not yet been surpassed. In the contrary: The development of high speed trains in the 21 century seems to move rather backwards in comparison to this futuristic developments and radical achievements.

The second new aspect in Japanese highspeed train design: The shape (exterior and interior) has been developed and consulted by German designer Alexander Neumeister from Munich.

In the following video of January 10, 2012 Alexander Neumeister speaks in Munich about the positive and optimistic circumstances that led to this exceptional shape of a high speed train. About its specific aerodynamics, about the cooperation with the Japanese ingeneers and railway company and the overall positive circumstances of its genesis.

The two brewhouses along with their copper vats are the pride and joy of the brewery.
The visitor can have also a one by one scale view into the technology under the copper vats.

Signboards in glass describe in full detail the brewing processes.

En route to the fermentation tanks, yeast is added to the cooled wort in the yeast store.
The yeast is the fourth ingredient, the “beer’s spirit”, and causes the beer to ferment.
It has the effect of turning the liquid malt sugar in the wort into alcohol and carbon dioxide.
The quality of the yeast has a great influence on the taste of the end product – the beer.

The 14 meter high fermentation tanks are shown in full scale.

Underneath the storage tanks:
Once the main fermentation process is complete, the beer is stored and matured for four weeks at a temperature of down to -2°C.
It is here that our quality beer takes on its distinctive mellow and well-rounded flavor and the unique lightness of flavor.

The sections of the storage tanks merge with the existing architecture.
